About Junior League Cookbooks

The first Junior League cookbook was published in 1923 by the Junior League of Dallas to support their nonprofit community programs, since then Junior League members everywhere have been heading to the kitchen to raise money for important community initiatives. Today there are more than 200 Junior League cookbooks, including four compiled by AJLI, and our very own JLM cookbook — A Matter Of Taste: A Cookbook for Ease & Elegance.

About the JLM Cookbook – A Matter of Taste

Crafting a cookbook can take years, but the effort is well worth it because they're beloved. First published in 1989, by a committee of over 70 women, A Matter of Taste contains over 300 recipes that were collected from our JLM members and triple tested over the course of two-years. The final outstanding recipes and sample menus were then selected for publishing. The rest is history!
