Nearly New Shop

  • Since 1961, the Junior League of Morristown has owned and operated the Nearly New Shop, a resale and consignment shop serving the Morris area community.
  • In business for 53 years, the Nearly New Shop is one of the oldest retail businesses in Morristown, and has continued to offer the community an affordable place to consign and shop for high-quality, men and women's clothing, accessories, housewares, small furniture, and more.
  • Over $1,000,000 in funds raised by the Nearly New Shop has gone towards supporting the Junior League of Morristown and furthering its mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the lives of those in the Morris area community.
  • Since 1995, the Nearly New Shop has had a very successful partnership with ECLC of New Jersey: Non-Profit Schools and Services for the Learning Disabled. The Nearly New Shop has provided thousands of hours of hands-on training opportunities for children with learning difficulties, autism, and Down's syndrome. The project continues to move forward today with two students working at the Nearly New Shop every Wednesday accompanied by an ECLC coach. According to Karen Giordano, SKIL Coordinator, "ECLC students who have trained in a retail environment like the Nearly New Shop have gone on to paying jobs."
